Bhindi Masala Recipe

Serves 2 - 3 / Preparation Time 5 mins / Cooking Time 12 mins

ingredients

1 x Medium Onion, finely chopped
1 & 1/2 x tsp of cumin powder
1 x tsp tumeric
1/2 x tsp chilli powder
2 x tsp garamasala
1 x large chilli (chopped)
1 x tbsp of coriandar leaves (chopped)
1 & 1/2 x tsp salt
350 grams of Okra
1 & 1/2 x tsp of lemon juice
3 x tbsp of oil

method

How to make the Curry (1 portion)

  1. Prepare Okra: wash them, then top & tail them. then cut into 1 x centimeter long pieces.
  2. Heat chef spoon of oil
  3. Add onions and cook until just starting to brown (cook off for 2 mins)
  4. Add tbsp of water to the dry spices (excluding the garamasala spice) in a bowl and mix into a paste ready to add 
  5. Add spice paste mix (cook for 30 seconds)
  6. Add Okra & Keep stirring (cook for another 3-4 mins)
  7. Add 1 x tsp of garamasala ( cook for 1 mins)
  8. Add 1 x Large Chilli (cook for 4 mins)
  9. Add 1 x tsp of garamasala 
  10. Add 1/2 tbsp of coriandar
  11. Add lemon juice
  12. Add salt (cook for another 2 mins)
  13. Finally sprinkle coriander to finish - Enjoy!!!
